There's nothing wrong with being smart about saving money, sis! You don't have to save like you're poor, but rather use a smart approach to maintain your happiness, and most importantly, save for a better future. Huwag lang puro gastos, planuhin mo, teh! Here are some creative, fun, and smart ways to save money without compromising your quality of life.
1.) Mr. DIY
Save money by being resourceful and creative like making yourself a meal at home, giving your GF/BF a handmade gift, going for a walk outside, and exercising with nature instead of buying a gym membership. Maraming paraan para maka-save ng money. Just think outside the cart!
2.) Thrifting as a Sport
Instead of buying clothes from expensive brands like Uniqlo, H&M, Mango, and others, why not thrift and save a peso? Thrifting o we all know as “ukay-ukay” might be a hassle for some, but it can be a fun hobby or even a sport if you’re really into it. Finding cheap but quality clothing is like hunting for treasure in an RPG dungeon, it’s laborious but very rewarding in the end. Plus, you can even find friends within a community of other thrifters just like you and nakatutulong ka pa sa mga nagbebenta nito. Oh, ‘di ba? Huwag feeling expensive! Hahaha.
3.) Magbaon :D
Rather than going to McDonald's or Jollibee to satisfy your hunger, you could just pack your lunch at home.

4.) Iwanan mo siya!
Don't bring all your allowance money with you. Just take what you need so you won't be tempted to buy things you don't really need. Leave behind the things that only weigh you down, ouch.
5.) Magplano ka, teh!
Make a plan for the day like setting your budget, carrying the essentials, and make a list or tracker of your expenses. Smart choices today will lead to better savings tomorrow, kaya gawin mong habit ang mag-plano para sa mas magaan na bukas!
6.) Magtipid. Prioritize ang kailangan, hindi ang gusto.
Buy things you need instead of what you want. Write and keep in mind the specific items you need to purchase in order to avoid impulsive buying.
7.) Bring your student ID
Always flash that student ID! Grab the discounts you can get! You'd be surprised how many places offer sweet discounts just for being a student. See? ID has a lot of perks: makapasok ka sa school, makilala ka ng mga tao lalo na kung may emergency o nabulagta ka bigla sa daan, tapos nakakatipid ka pa sa pamasahe at ibang mga lugar. (Huwag lang po abusuhin, ha).

8.) Just wait.
Instead of subscribing and paying for a monthly plan, why not just watch the ads? Yes, it may take a little extra time, but subscriptions can get pretty expensive. By simply watching the ads, you're actually saving money, and it’s like getting the same service without the guilt of overspending. WHAHAHAHA).

9.) Matulog. Zzz.
People tend to waste money when they are awake and active, so hypothetically sleeping will make people save money.

NOTE: Remember, saving money doesn’t have to mean sacrificing happiness—it’s about being creative, planning wisely, and making sure every peso counts.
